"There is a request and it came from them," Turkish Chief of General Staff Gen. Yasar Buyukanit told reporters at a reception Monday after an international symposium on cooperation against terrorism in Turkish capital Ankara.
"Meeting could be useful. More we talk to each other, better we know each other. We can solve problems by talking not by remaining silent," Buyukanit said.
Asked whether there were any problems with intelligence sharing with the U.S., Buyukanit said there were not any problems between Turkish and U.S. military authorities.
