Turk opposition leader remains silent over illegal money transfer
Turkish main opposition CHP leader Deniz Baykal did not refer to the claim of "transferring four million YTL to Kanaltürk" during group meeting yesterday.

Baykal spoke about all the issues in group meeting but did not refer to "transfer of four million YTL to Kanaltürk" which may be an issue for action to ban his party, Sabah reported.

CHP leader Deniz Baykal mentioned April 23rd Children's Festival, May Day and the price increase in rice in the group meeting speech; but did not refer to the claims of transferring four million YTL to Kanaltürk which may be a reason for an action to ban his party.

The claims were brought up on the agenda last year.

The ministry of finance detected that CHP transferred four million YTL to official body of Kanaltürk, Yaşam Televizyon Yayın Hizmetleri A.Ş. in the years of 2004 and 2005.

The ministry made a report of the money transfer and sent it to the chief public prosecutor's office and the constitutional court.
