Turkey, Croatia to sign economic cooperation agreement

Turkey's Foreign Trade Undersecretariat said the economic cooperation agreement which would be signed Wednesday between Turkey and Croatia would make possible a long term assessment of economic relations.

A press release issued by the Undersecretariat said Premier Recep Tayyip Erdogan and his Croatian counterpart Ivo Sanader, who was visiting Turkey, would sign the agreement.

The Undersecretariat also said the Turkey-Croatia Business Council joint meeting would be held in Istanbul on Thursday under co-chairing of Croatia's Deputy PM Damir Polancec.

The press release regarded Croatia as one of Turkey's most important trade partners in South East Europe, noting that the trade volume between the two countries almost reached 450 million USD.
