Turkish Interior Minister Besir Atalay said on Monday that police detained three people regarding the attack on pro-Kurdish Peace & Democracy Party (BDP) building in Ankara.

Atalay added that police also found weapons in the vehicles of those people.

He noted that interrogation of the three people was underway.

The headquarters of BDP was attacked by unidentified gunmen late on Friday. Deputy chairperson of the party, Gulten Kisanak, told reporters that more than 15 bullets were fired on the BDP headquarters.

On December 11, 2009, Constitutional Court closed Democratic Society Party (DTP) and banned a number of its representatives from politics. BDP replaced the banned Democratic Society Party.
