Turkey, Kosovo to sign visa exemption agreement
Turkish FM said that his visit to Kosovo was important in terms of consolidation of political relations and development of economic relations.
Turkish Foreign Minister Ali Babacan said on Monday that his visit to Kosovo was important in terms of consolidation of political relations and development of economic relations.
Turkish foreifgn minister said that a strategy paper and visa exemption agreement would be signed between Turkey and Kosovo within the scope of his visit.
Turkish foreign minister said that Turkey was one of the countries which recognized the independence of Kosovo first.
Babacan addressed members of Turkey-Kosovo and Turkey-Bosnia & Herzegovina Business Councils who accompanied him with visits to Kosovo and Bosnia & Herzegovina.
Babacan said that he would hold meetings in Kosovo for two days and in Bosnia & Herzegovina for another two days. He said that his visit to Kosovo was important because he would be the first ever Turkish foreign minister to visit Kosovo after it declared its independence on February 17, 2008.
Babacan said that he would meet with president, prime minister, foreign minister and parliament speaker in Kosovo, and address deputies at Kosovar Parliament.
