Turkey moved one spot down and became fourth in a list of Tajikistan's biggest trade partners in 2009, Tajik statistics authority said Tuesday.

The trade volume between Turkey and Tajikistan dropped to 211 million USD in 2009 from 500.5 million USD in 2008.

As traditionally, Russia remained the biggest trade partner for Tajikistan in 2009 with a trade volume of 898 million USD, which marked a drop of 273.8 million USD over 2008.

Russia was followed by China and Kazakhstan with trade volume of 672 million USD and 294.3 million USD, respectively.

Tajikistan's foreign trade volume decreased by 23.6 percent to 3.5 billion USD in 2009 from 4.6 billion USD in 2008.
