Ceremonies take place througout Turkey to mark the 93rd anniversary of Canakkale Naval Victory and commemorate martyrs of March 18th.

Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, speaking at a ceremony held in Canakkale on the occassion, stated that, "Canakkale is a symbol province. A torch of freedom. We are the children of a nation rooted in history that established many civilizations, won victories and recorded successes."



"Turkish people are resolute to overcome every problem they face and preserve confidence and stability atmosphere," Erdogan said.



Speaking to people at the same ceremony, Canakkale Governor Orhan Kirli said, "Canakkale Battles is fencing out an attempt of occupation and an attack to the country and legal rights of a nation."



On the other hand, Ankara Governor Kemal Onal, Ankara Garrison Commander Gen. Aslan Guner, Acting Mayor Seyfi Saltoglu, war veterans and relatives of martyrs attended a ceremony that is organized in Ankara Cebeci Cemetery.



Turkish General Staff opened a photograph exhibition "Turkish Armed Forces in Dealing with Terrorism" was opened in Ankamall shopping center on the occasion of the 93rd anniversary of Canakkale Naval Victory and to commemorate martyrs of March 18th.
