Turkish Foreign Ministry expressed sorrow over the avalanche disaster in Afghanistan.

The ministry stated on Thursday that Turkey was in solidarity with Afghanistan, and sharing Afghan people's pain.

The ministry also offered condolences to relatives of the victims of the disaster.

A total of 166 people were killed and 125 others were injured in the avalanche which occurred in Salang pass in the north of Kabul on February 9.
