Pakistan and Turkey have decided to hold strategic talks at foreign ministers' level besides the two countries have also agreed on holding tripartite talks among Pakistan, Afghanistan and Turkey in May.

Pakistan and Turkey have decided to hold strategic talks at foreign ministers' level besides the two countries have also agreed on holding tripartite talks among Pakistan, Afghanistan and Turkey in May, Pakistanlink reported.

Federal Foreign Minister, Shah Mahmood Quraishi and the visiting Turkish Foreign Minister, Ali Baba in a meeting at the foreign office here exchanged views on matters of mutual interests.

Later, addressing a joint press conference, the foreign ministers said that the bilateral cooperation in trade, economic and defense sectors would be bolstered.

Turkey and Pakistan have also decided to hold next joint working group meeting in May, which was earlier slated in January.

Federal Foreign Minister, Mahmood Quraishi told the media that following the joint working group and tripartite meetings, a summit conference of the heads of the three countries was also expected in June this year.
