Turkey, Russia intensify cooperation in civil aviation

Civil aviation authorities from Turkey and Russia reached agreement on increasing the number of scheduled flight destinations to ten in each country.

Civil Aviation Directorate General of Turkey announced in a statement that bilateral air transport agreement which was signed between Turkey and Russia in 1967 has been revised in Moscow, The New Anatolian reported.

Turkish delegation headed by Civil Aviation Director General Dr. Ali Ariduru and Russian authorities reached agreement increasing the number of scheduled flight destinations to 10 in Russia including Moscow, Yekaterinburg, S. Petersburg, Rostov, Kazan, Krasnodar, Omsk, Novosibirsk, Sochi, Ufa and in Turkey Istanbul, Ankara, Izmir, Dalaman, Bodrum, Antalya and other four destinations to be announced later.

Authorities from both countries also agreed that restrictions on frequency of flights for cargo transportation would be lifted.
