Turkey says Gaza tragedy exceeds patience limits
Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that Turkey was deeply sad and concerned about the tragedy that had been going on in Gaza Strip since December 27.
Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs said on Friday that Turkey was deeply sad and concerned about the tragedy that had been going on in Gaza Strip since December 27.
Releasing a statement, the Turkish Foreign Ministry said that more than 1,100 people had been killed and 5, 000 had been wounded in Israeli attacks against Gaza so far.
Noting that the "tragedy in the region exceeded the limits of patience", the ministry reiterated its call to Israel to stop its military operation immediately.
"Activities aiming to establish a cease-fire in Gaza should be concluded as soon as possible. Turkey carries on with its efforts to this end in a determined way," the statement said.
Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs also called on the international community to exert all the efforts in order to put an end to the tragedy in the region.
