Officials of Turkey's railroads authority (TCDD) and Syrian Railways (CFS) got together Monday in Ankara to discuss the train service project between Syria and Turkey.
TCDD's Chairman Erol Inan said trains on Aleppo-Mersin and Aleppo-Gaziantep routes would run twice a week, noting that train cars would be provided by CFS.
Inan said they attached great importance to train transportation between Turkey and Syria.
CFS's Chairman Georges Mokabari said the train service on the said routes would enliven trade and tourism between the two countries.
