Turkish State Minister Mehmet Simsek said on Friday that Turkey had a well medium-term strategy to overcome its problems.
Speaking at a visit to Selahattin Hatipoglu, the Governor of western province of Balıkesir, Simsek said, "Turkey's one year current account deficit is 43 billion USD and energy shortage is 41.5 billion USD. Unfortunately, Turkey is dependent on foreign countries in energy. Turkish government has been working for a long time to find a radical solution to the problem."
Turkish state minister noted that first nuclear energy power plant tender of Turkey would take place in September.
"Turkish government has been fulfilling many reforms to ensure development and increase Turkey's competitiveness power in industry with the world markets," Simsek added.
