Turkey's Babacan: joint command center in Irbil being implemented slowly
Turkish Foreign Minister Ali Babacan said Wednesday that a joint command center in Irbil is being implemented slowly with the participation of Turkey, Iraq and the United States.

Speaking to the AA in Sanaa, Babacan said that there is an office in Irbil based on the trilateral mechanism between Turkey, Iraq and the United States.

I believe that the role of this office should not be exaggerated, Babacan said.
The goal of the trilateral mechanism is to facilitate intelligence sharing and coordination of military operations, Babacan said.

When we talk about Iraq, we are aware that the north of the country is an actual part of Iraq and, as such, the office in Irbil is part of this understanding, Babacan also said.
