Turkey's CHP dismisses constitutional amendments call
Deputy Chairman of the Republican People's Party (CHP) Group, Hakki Suha Okay, said Monday "a compromise with the government on possible Constitutional amendments was out of their agenda".

Asked if the CHP would support Constitutional amendments, especially after recent comments made by Deputy Prime Minister Cemil Cicek that Constitutional amendments are not a matter of the majority but rather a compromise, Okay said that "the government tries to impose an artificial agenda and wants to create an atmosphere of debates".

We may consider a Constitutional amendment if the topic of immunities comes up, Okay also said.
