Turkey's Erdogan says new era with US begins
Turkish PM said that a new era was beginning in the United States and Turkey was determined to boost its cooperation with the U.S. administration.
Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said on Monday that a new era was beginning in the United States and Turkey was determined to boost its cooperation with the U.S. administration.
Delivering a speech at the European Policy Center in Brussels, Erdogan said, "Turkey has great determination to carry out strategic cooperation with the United States with its new president Barack Obama. We hope that Turkish-U.S. ties will keep boosting."
Replying to a question on talks with the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Erdogan said, "talks between Turkey and IMF have reached the last phase. Talks continue on some matters. A concrete step will be taken soon in regard to Turkey-IMF relations."
