According to figures of Damascus Trade Undersecretariat, Turkey exported products worth of 161 million USD to Syria in the first two months of 2008; and this figure increased to 210 million USD in the first two months of 2009.

Turkey's import rate from Syria dropped 66.3 percent in January-February, 2009. It was 76 million USD in January-February, 2008, and it dropped to 25 million USD in the same period of 2009.

Trade volume between Turkey and Syria increased 39.5 percent in 2008.
