Turkish President Abdullah Gul addressed on Wednesday a meeting of the Turkish-Saudi Business Council in Riyadh on the second day of his formal visit to Saudi Arabia.
"Turkish banking system has braced strongly for the global financial crisis. You can trust in the Turkish banks," Gul told Saudi businesspeople.
The Turkish president said his country had built up a solid environment of economic confidence with sweeping reforms, giving each investor an equal opportunity without making any discrimination between foreigners or nationals.
Gul also called Turkish and Saudi businesspeople to boost mutual investments.
Call for Saudi students
President Gul also visited King Saud University, and King Abdulaziz Science and Technology Center on Wednesday.
Gul met Saudi Minister of Higher Education Khalid bin Muhammad al-Anqari, saying that the King Saud University made significant contributions to the country.
"We would like to see Saudi students in our universities in Turkey," Gul said.
Also a protocol was signed between the King Saud University, and the Scientific and Technological Research Council and Istanbul Technology University.
