Turkish aid foundation helped 50 Palestinian couples living in Syria to get married.
Palestinians who had to flee their country following the Israeli occupation are trying to practice their traditions in the countries they are sheltered as refugees. The refugees Palestinians attach particular significance to preserve their national and cultural identities.
Turkey's IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation met wedding and furniture expenses of 50 couples who would not afford it otherwise.
IHH said 460 Palestinian youngsters got married in a mass ceremony in the Yarmouk camp.
The brides and grooms were pleased to have got married though living as refugees in a foreign country. Palestinian traditions were practiced during the wedding ceremony, which indicates that Palestinians still adhere to their national traditions although they have been living in Syrian for about a half century.

A large number of Palestinian refugees attended the wedding to show solidarity and recited prayers hoping for the liberation of Palestine.
About 1,500 Palestinian refugees are living in 12 camps in Syria.
