Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan spoke with Iranian and Azerbaijani leaders separately on the phone on Thursday, Anadolu news agency said.

Erdogan, who had telephone conversations with Iranian President Mahmud Ahmadinejad and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, discussed the recent developments in the region, the agency said, without giving any more details.

Agency also said, Turkish President Abdullah Gul and Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmedinejad met in the Danish capital on Thursday.

The two presidents are in Copenhagen to attend the UN Climate Conference Summit.

The meeting between Gul and Ahmedinejad was behind closed doors.

Further details were no provided.

Meanwhile, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov will pay an official visit to Turkey Dec. 24-25,.

A wide range of issues covering bilateral and multilateral relations, as well as the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, will be discussed during the visit," Trend News Agency said.
