Turkey's flag carrier Turkish Airlines (THY) will increase its number of flights to several domestic and international destinations, the company said on Wednesday.
THY will increase flight frequencies from Istanbul to New Delhi, Mumbai, Kuwait City in Asia, Brussels, Venice, Helsinki, Basel, Dublin in Europe and Addis Ababa in Africa.
New flights will start to New Delhi and Mumbai on February 2 and other destinations in March.
Meanwhile, Number of domestic and international flights in Turkey increased 7.7 percent in 2008, as number of passengers was up by 4 million.
Near 74.5 million passengers arrived in or departed from airports in Turkey as Istanbul's Ataturk Airport was the busiest one with 276,136 plane landed.
Air cargo traffic also increased 5.7 percent.
