The Turkish International Cooperation and Development Agency (TIKA) and Turkish Development Bank signed Wednesday a cooperation protocol in Ankara.
The signature ceremony took place at TIKA headquarters and was attended by State Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Nazim Ekren and State Minister Said Yazicioglu.
Chairman of TIKA Musa Kulaklikaya said that "the protocol signed on Wednesday was aimed to work in a coordinated and efficient manner with the Development Bank."
"Turkey's development activities would be a role model to friendly countries," Kulaklikaya said.
Chief Executive Officer and Director General of the Turkish Development Bank Abdullah Celik said that "TIKA's aid for development carries high importance."
"TIKA has made donations worth 1.3 million new Turkish liras (approx. 1.05 million USD) to date. As banking experts, we will work on providing credits to countries in need as part of TIKA's assistance," Celik noted.
