Turkey's top advisor in Damascus to meet Syrian, Hamas officials
In Cairo, Ahmet Davutoglu and the accompanying delegation met with Egyptian Foreign Minister and Hamas.
A Turkish delegation led by Ahmet Davutoglu, chief advisor to Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, will meet Syrian and Hamas authorities in the Syrian capital city of Damascus in search for a cease-fire in Gaza.
The delegation formed by Prime Ministry Office and Ministry of Foreign Affairs officials was scheduled to return to Turkey from Egypt. Upon the recent developments in Cairo, the delegation proceeded to Damascus, Syria.
In Cairo, Davutoglu and the accompanying delegation met with Egyptian Foreign Minister Ahmed Ali Aboul Gheit and Hamas.
Today, the delegation is expected to hold talks with Syrian Foreign Minister Walid Mualem and Hamas officials in Damascus.
