Turkey's Tuzmen says Egypt-Iran visits resulted in $550 mln export ties
Turkish State Minister Kursad Tuzmen has said that his recent visits to Egypt and Iran yielded fruitful results.
Tuzmen said at a news conference in the northeastern Iranian city of Meshed, "our visits to Egypt and Iran resulted in export ties worth of 550 million USD."
"During our talks with Iranian authorities including ministers of trade, industry, transportation and petroleum in Tehran, we ensured trade ties worth of 250-300 million USD. Meshed is the second leg of our visit to Iran. This city will become a significant commercial center in the future with its growing ties with Afghanistan, Turkmenistan,Kazakhstan, India and China. Since it is a sacred city drawing some 20 million tourists every year, Meshed urgently requires infrastructure investments. These make Meshed an ideal place for Turkish businessmen," he said.
