Turkish Airlines (THY) will conduct joint flights with Air Malta, THY officials said on Saturday.
High-level officials from the two companies signed a cooperation agreement in Malta, THY said in a statement.
THY's Executive Vice-President Commercial Orhan Sivrikaya and Commercial Agreements Director Gulay Ozturk, as well as Brock Friesen, Chief Officer Commercial of Air Malta, attended the signing ceremony.
According to the agreement, THY will be able to sell tickets with its own flight number for the Istanbul-Malta flights conducted by Air Malta twice a week.
The flights will be conducted on Mondays and Thursdays.

Air Malta is the national airline of Malta, based in Luqa. It operates services to 36 destinations in Europe and North Africa. The airline's hub and base is at Malta International Airport, Malta.
