Turkish American Chamber of Commerce & Industry (TACCI) organized a meeting on health tourism in Chicago, the United States on Thursday.

A press statement released after the meeting said that it aimed to underline the important role that could be assumed by Turkey in the area of health tourism in the United States and promote Turkey in this sector.

"Turkey aims to boost its share in the health tourism sector in the United States and it is eager to become a partner of the USA in this sector," the statement said.

A message sent by U.S. Congressman Robert Wexler to the meeting said they attached a great importance to development of cultural and economic ties between Turkey and the USA and he believed that strategic relations between the two countries should be further improved.
