The book "Maps of Istanbul 1422-1922" will take part in the Miami International Map Fair on January 31 as special guest.

The book written by art historian Ayse Yetiskin Kubilay with the support of Professor Ilber Ortayli, curator of Istanbul's Topkapi palace, includes the first map of Turkish metrapolis dated 1422, hidden beauties of the city and texts by travellers besides maps of Istanbul from five centuries.

Turgay Erol, president of executive board of the Denizler Publishing House, told the A.A that an exhibition would also be opened in Miami with some special maps selected from the book.

Erol added that they were also planning to attend the map fairs in Dublin, London and Paris in the coming months.

Meanwhile, original maps are on display at the Rahmi Koc Museum till February 14.
