Turkish Cypriot political leaders send message to UN Ban

Leaders of two Turkish Cypriot Political parties handed letters to UN Under-Secretary-General for Political Affairs, Lynn Pascoe to be submitted to UN Secratary General Ban ki-Moon, on Tuesday.

Pascoe and the accompanying UN delegation met with met leader of main opposition National Unity Party (UBP) Tahsin Ertugruloglu and Democrat Party (DP) leader Serdar Denktas in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC).

According to press releases issued from these parties, Denktas and Ertugruloglu handed letters --expressing their views on the "Cyprus Issue"-- to Pascoe during talks, to be submitted to UN Secratary General.

Pascoe was received by TRNC PM Ferdi Sabit Soyer and FM Turgay Avci earlier today.

Meanwhile, TRNC Mehmet Ali Talat and Greek Cypriot Leader Dimitris Christofias --who started a new process for solution of Cyprus Issue with their meeting on March 21st-- go together at the dinner hosted in honour of Pascoe at the buffer zone in Lefkosa.

Pascoe is expected to hold talks with Talat and Christofias on Wednesday. He will depart from the island after holding a press conference on his talks.
