President of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) Mehmet Ali Talat would meet the leader of Greek Cypriot administration Demetris Christofias on Tuesday within the framework of the March 21st agreement.
Spokesman for the Turkish Cypriot Presidency Hasan Ercakica said Monday "the meeting to be held on July 1st between President Mehmet Ali Talat and leader of the Greek Cypriot administration Demetris Christofias aims to start comprehensive talks towards a settlement in the island."
Talat's meeting with Christofias would take place at the residence of Taye-Brook Zerihoun, special representative of the UN Secretary-General and chief of UN Peacekeeping Force in Cyprus, at the buffer zone in Cyprus, at 11:00 a.m..
Talat's envoy Ozdil Nami and Greek Cypriot envoy George Iacovou would meet on Monday at 4:00 p.m. to shape tomorrow's meeting of Cypriot leaders.
TRNC President Talat would meet Monday chairmen of Turkish Cypriot party leaders to prepare Tuesday's meeting with Christofias.
