There has been a remarkable improvement in the relations between member states of Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC) and Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) in the recent period, foreign minister of TRNC said on Sunday.
TRNC's Foreign Minister Turgay Avci returned to TRNC from Ugandan capital of Kampala where he attended the 35th meeting of foreign ministers of OIC and told reporters that TRNC opened a representative office in Qatar and would open offices in Oman and Kuwait.
A decision adopted in Kampala said TRNC would host several events organized by establishments under the roof of OIC, Avci stated. A forum titled "Tourism in the Islamic World" would take place in TRNC on October 27th and 29th, he said.
The decision titled "Situation in Cyprus" that was adopted at the closing session of the OIC meeting in Kampala said more steps should be taken for both lifting isolation and restrictions imposed on TRNC and boosting cooperation between TRNC and OIC members.
