A Bangladeshi aid worker and a Turkish engineer were killed in Afghanistan, the police said.
Two gunmen killed one Bengalese, who was working for an agency providing small financial support for locals, in the northeastern Badakhshan province on Wednesday afternoon, local police officer Fazil Ahamad Nazali told Xinhua.
Some locals said another Bengalese was injured, but the police did not confirm.
No one has claimed responsibility, and the motivation for the attack was not immediately known. But the police said one suspect was arrested.
Meanwhile, one roadside bomb killed a Turkish engineer and injured another besides killing one policeman in Zurmat district of the eastern Paktia province on Tuesday night, Paktia provincial government spokesman Din Mohammad Darwish said.
The Turkish engineers were building a road connecting Paktia and the neighboring Ghazni province, he added.
