Turkish State Minister Kursad Tuzmen said Monday that Turkish exports would shrink in the first half of 2009.
Speaking to reporters in Ankara, Tuzmen said that "by using intermediate goods, Turkey will increase exports in the second half of 2009".
In response to a question on problems experienced by Turkish businessmen at Russian customs points, Tuzmen said that a "customs delegation from Russia will arrive in Istanbul on Tuesday. I believe we will overcome the problems and trade volume between Turkey and Russia will continue to grow".
