European Basketball Cup (Group D) game between Turk Telekom and Bnei Hasharon of Israel was suspended Tuesday due to protests in the arena against the Israeli massacre in Gaza that nearly 600 Palestinians were killed in two-week bombardments.

Spectators in the stadium started chanting slogans against Israel, 30 minutes before the time the game was scheduled to start.

When protestors started throwing rubbish in to the basketball field, Hasharon players and technical squad went to the changing room.

The police intervened in the uproar and forced the protestors outside of the arena.

After the police intervention, Turk Telekom players returned to the Arena.

The referees suspended the game when the Israeli team did not return from the changing room in 15 minutes.

ULEB officials are expected say the final word on the suspended game.

I want to thank the Turkish people for their amazing support of the Palestinians! You go above and beyond what the lazy "Arab world" ever does to protest the massacre and torture of millions of Palestinians by Israel. God bless you all! Long live Turkey! Long live Palestine!
