Turkish firm builds 'Ejder' to absorb mine explosions

Turkey's Nurol Machinery Company put on display a 6x6 armored vehicle, "Ejder" (Dragon), on display on Tuesday at the company facilities in Sincan town of Ankara.

"Ejder" is a vehicle built to absorb mine explosions without letting its personnel get hurt.

The vehicle can carry up to 12 personnel and can move easily in water.

"Ejder" weighs 18 tons. One hundred percent of the vehicle's components and parts were manufactured in Turkey.

Nurol has exported more than 50 "Ejder"s so far, told a company official.
