Turkish first fast train to start test runs
Tests runs for Turkey's first fast train will begin in July between capital Ankara and central province of Eskisehir.

If everything runs smooth during the three-month-long test runs, the fast train will start passenger transportation towards the end of the year.

TCCD officials told AA on Friday that the fast train would start test runs at a speed of 60km/hr and gradually increase the speed.

The fast train is expected to reduce the travel time between Ankara and Eskisehir from current 3 hours to 1.1 hours.

Turkey's first fast train which is equipped with the latest technology cost 17.5 million Euro and can go up to 250km/hr.
