Turkish FM speaks by phone to Rice on Geneva talks

Turkey's foreign minister had phone talks with his interlocutors regarding Iran's nuclear program controversy on Friday, executives of the ministry said on Saturday.

Turkish Foreign Minister Ali Babacan spoke by phone to U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, German Foreign Minister Frank Walter Steinmeier and Javier Solana, the European Union (EU) high representative for the common foreign and security policy.

Babacan exchanged views with Rice, Steinmeier and Solana on Iran's nuclear file and solution of the controversy through dialogue.

U.S. National Security Adviser Stephen Hadley arrived in Ankara on Wednesday, and met Turkish President Abdullah Gul, Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Foreign Minister Ali Babacan on Thursday.

Iran's Foreign Minister Manuchehr Motaki arrived in Ankara on Thursday. He also had meetings with Gul, Erdogan and Babacan on Friday.
