Turkish gov't adopts a series of amendments to tax laws
The Turkish government adopted Monday a series of amendments to several laws that would cut internet service tax and temporarily lift tax on end-of-life motor vehicles.

The government plans to bring tax relief in landline and wireless internet services to 5 percent from 15 percent.

Under the plan, the government will also remove tax and traffic fines on 30-year-old or older motor vehicles if they are scrapped until the end of 2009.
