Turkish investments in Egypt to reach $3 bln: Tuzmen
Turkish State Minister said that the amount of investments made by Turkish businessmen in Egypt would reach 3 billion USD in the upcoming period.
Turkish State Minister Kursad Tuzmen said on Thursday that the amount of investments made by Turkish businessmen in Egypt would reach 3 billion USD in the upcoming period.
Speaking at the Turkish-Egyptian Economic and Commercial Cooperation Seminar held in Cairo, Tuzmen said that there were currently more than 200 Turkish entrepreneurs in Egypt.
"Our entrepreneurs have made investments amounting to 1.2 billion USD so far. Such figure will rise up to 3 billion USD soon. These investments increase exports and employment opportunities. This is a win-win strategy," Tuzmen said.
Delivering a speech at the seminar, Egyptian Minister of Foreign Trade and Industry Rachid Mohamed Rachid said that Turkey and Egypt had common benefits.
Briefing the participants on the industrial zones in Egypt, Rachid said that his country was ready to introduce any legal arrangements in order to ease investments.
Rachid also said that the cooperation between Turkey and Egypt would improve and joint production and marketing activities would be carried out in near future.
