Turkish state minister held talks on Monday in Tajikistan, where he is paying a visit to participate in the 7th meeting of Turkey-Tajikistan Joint Economic Commission.

Turkish State Minister Said Yazicioglu had a meeting with Turkish businessmen at Turkish embassy in Tajikistan.

Yazicioglu said that he came to this country for the meeting of Turkey-Tajikistan Joint Economic Commission, but he would also hold talks with President Emomali Rahmon, Parliament Speaker Mehmedsaid Ubaydullaev and Prime Minister Oqil Oqilov.

Turkey attached great importance to its relations with Tajikistan and Turkey's President Abdullah Gul would pay a visit to this country next month, he said.

"Trade volume between the two countries is nearly 340 million U.S. dollars. We should boost this figure. We should undersign important projects," he said.
