Turkey's state minister for the treasury said on Friday that fruitfull talks occured to him that problems with IMF can be solved.
"There is not so much disagreement over the content of a deal with the IMF. I had some fruitful talks here and it occurs to me that problems can be solved," Mehmet Simsek told a televised interview on NTV news channel in Davos, Switzerland.
Turkish and IMF officials have been meeting on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum in Davos. The government said last week that talks in Turkey were given a 10-day break.
"We have made progress in the talks and we want to come up with a program which would strengthen Turkey's economic basics and ease concerns about foreign financing," Simsek said.
