Two Turkish jurists and a security officer travelled to Belgium on Tuesday, authorities said.

Turan Colakkadi, the deputy chief prosecutor in Istanbul; Bilal Bayraktar, a prosecutor in Istanbul; and a security officer went to Belgium to exchange intelligence about the far-left militant DHKP/C organization.

The delegation will also meet Belgian judicial authorities regarding the investigation into Fehriya Erdal, a member of the illegal organization who was involved in businessman Ozdemir Sabanci assassination.

A Belgian magistrate, a prosecutor and two security officers visited Istanbul, particularly the office of chief prosecutor, in February within the scope of the Ozdemir Sabanci assassination and Fehriye Erdal case, debated by the Brugge court.

Turkish authorities submitted five files to the delegation.

Erdal is one of the suspects of the killings of prominent Turkish businessman Ozdemir Sabanci, Toyota-Sa DG Haluk Gorgun and his secretary Nilgun Hasefe, on January 9th, 1996. She was arrested with a false passport in Belgium on September 26th, 1999. Belgian authorities rejected Turkey's extradition request due to death penalty back then in Turkey. Erdal is still at large.
