Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said on Saturday that Turkish President Abdullah Gul gave approval to Danish premier's being selected as the next NATO secretary general, when Turkey's concerns were solved under the guarantorship of U.S. President Barack Obama.
We hope the guarantees which were given to Turkey to remove its concerns will be fulfilled, Erdogan added.
Reminding that Obama would arrive in Turkey on Sunday, Erdogan said that Obama could assess the issue during his speech at Turkish Parliament.
Danish Prime Minister Anders Fogh Rasmussen was selected on Saturday as the next NATO secretary general.
