Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan met with President Jakaya Mrisho Kikwete of Tanzania, who is currently in Ankara on a state visit.
The closed-door meeting at the Prime Ministry Office lasted for about 45 minutes.
Earlier in the day, President Kikwete met with President Abdullah Gul. During the meeting, four agreements were signed between Turkey and Tanzania to further strengthen the bilateral relations.
President Kikwete is set to meet with Turkish Parliament Speaker Mehmet Ali Sahin later in the day.
He will also receive representatives of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB), the Foreign Economic Relations Board (DEIK) and Economic Policy Research Foundation of Turkey (TEPAV).
Tanzanian President will partake in a banquet to be hosted in his honor by President Gul in the evening.
