Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan thanked former president of Iran Mohammad Khatami for his contributions to the "Alliance of Civilizations" works.

Prime Minister Erdogan met with Council of Europe Secretary-General Terry Davis, Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) Secretary-General Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu and Khatami on the sidelines of the Second Forum of the Alliance of Civilizations in Istanbul.

During his meeting with Khatami, Erdogan thanked him for his contributions to the project.

Prime Minister Erdogan, at his meeting with Davis, discussed ways to make more efficient the works by the Council of Europe.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Erdogan and Ihsanoglu exchanged views over works carried out by the organization and its contributions to the Alliance of Civilizations.
