Iraq's Vice-President Tariq al-Hashimi said on Wednesday that Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan's scheduled visit to Iraq would be a "landmark" in bilateral relations.
In an exclusive interview with the A.A. correspondent, al-Hashimi said a strategic cooperation agreement would be signed between Turkey and Iraq, and it would include matters like economy, politics, culture, energy security areas, as well as fight against terrorist activities on border between the two countries.
Al-Hashimi said PKK would be discussed separately, and the visit would add a new dimension to the relations between the two countries.
Iraqi executive said his country wished the other countries to act like Turkey, send delegations and inaugurate embassies.
Asked whether Kurdish leaders in north of Iraq would attend Erdogan's talks in Baghdad, al-Hashimi said he was not sure of it, but Iraqi President Jalal Talabani would host a dinner in honor of Erdogan.
