Turkish Prof elected the new presedent of ESSR

ESSR is the primary organization in Europe that enhances the development, distribution, and cost-effective implementation of state of the art radiological concepts and tools in the musculoskeletal system.

Turkish Prof elected the new presedent of ESSR
Prof. Dr. Remide Arkun of the Ege University (EU) School of Medicine Department of Radiology in the western province of Izmir has been elected the new president of the European Society of Musculoskeletal Radiology (ESSR).

Prof. Dr. Arkun became the first Turkish scientist elected president of an international association in the area of radiology.

Arkun, who has been serving as vice-president of the society since 2006, replaced her Greek colleague Prof. Dr. Apostolos Karantanas.

Arkun is also a member of the international Skeletal Society.

Founded in 1993, ESSR is the primary organization in Europe that enhances the development, distribution, and cost-effective implementation of state of the art radiological concepts and tools in the musculoskeletal system. It fosters cooperation between medical and non-medical professionals who are active in furthering the development of musculoskeletal radiology with the specific aim of benefiting their patients.
