Turkish speaker calls for urgent aid to Gazans
Turkey's Parliament Speaker Koksal Toptan said that every one should extend a hand to Gaza as much as s/he could do.

"We hope attacks will end soon but problems will not. Because there is no house, food, water, medicine and roads. We should extend a helping hand as much as we can," he said during a meeting with Turkish businessmen in the Algerian capital of Algiers.

During the meeting, Turkish businessmen said they were facing problems in letters of credit and demanded that a Turkish bank should be opened in Algeria.

The businessmen also demanded that unjust competition should be ended and a Turkish chamber of commerce should be set up.

Toptan later participated in a dinner hosted in his honor by Ahmet Necati Bigali, the Turkish ambassador to Algeria.

The Turkish parliament speaker is scheduled to meet Abdelaziz Ziari, the speaker of the Algerian National People's Assembly, on Sunday.
