Joint maneuvers commenced Wednesday between Turkish, US and Israeli air and navy forces in international waters, east of the Mediterranean.
Turkish media said these maneuvers would continue for four days and included 10 warships, four helicopters and four rescue aircrafts, adding that the aim was emergency training and greater coordination between the three parties.
The maneuvers come as part of the strategic security and defense cooperation agreement signed a few years back between Turkey and Israel.
Although these were not the first exercises between the two countries, they have stirred disdain in the region.
