UAE Continues Aid To Lebanon

The United Arab Emirates continued to ferry relief materials to Lebanon through the air bridge ordered by General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, Emirates News Agency (WAM)

UAE Continues Aid To Lebanon
Some 500 tonnes of relief materials were transported so far aboard 19 flights to meet the urgent needs of thousands of displaced people. Dr Mohammed Jawad Khalifa, Lebanese Health Minister, lauded the efforts being made by the UAE to ease suffering of Lebanese. He was quoted as saying that since the beginning of the crisis, the UAE stood firmly by Lebanon, sending more than 26 ambulances and launching daily flights to Beirut to carry aid.

Mohammed Sultan Saif Al Suweidi, UAE Ambassador in Beirut, said that UAE will continue to help Lebanon until it is able to get over its plight. The relief materials include foodstuff, baby milk, vaccines, blankets, medicines and medical items.
