The president of Turkish-American Business Council (TABC) said that new better area would begin in the relations between Turkey and the United States with U.S. President Barack Obama on Wednesday.
TABC President Haluk Dincer hosted a luncheon in honor of Turkish Foreign Minister Ali Babacan in Istanbul.
Delivering a speech in the luncheon, Dincer said that the new U.S. administration supported the steps taken by Turkey on its path towards EU membership.
Dincer said the world was passing through a difficult period and he believed that Turkey could turn this period into an opportunity through its strategic position.
Giant U.S. computer company Hewlett-Packard (HP) would make an investment of 60 million U.S. dollars in Turkey and it would create jobs for 2,000 people, he said.
